by BHP, Whyalla, South Australia. Commissioned August 14, 1942. Joined RN Eastern Fleet based in Colombo. In 1943 served in Mediterranean, involved in Sicily landings. Attacked by Luftwaffe near Gibraltar. Served in British Pacific Fleet in Okinawa and Hong Kong. Sold to Turkish Navy 1946 as"Ayvalik." Scrapped 1963. | |

Williamstown, Victoria. Commissioned January 16, 1942. Fired on Japanese midget submarines in Sydney Harbour, 1942. Served on East coast convoys. On October 18, 1944, north of Langemak, New Guinea, the ship was struck by a US tanker, "York". Cut in two the corvette sank, no crew were lost. | |
